Elisa Z. Martinez "Licha", a loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on April 02, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 96 years old at the time of her passing.

Born in Las Esperanzas, Coahuila, on March 10, 1929. A devoted and hardworking mother, she raised her only daughter, and her love for her knew no bounds. Her surviving great-grandchildren Sophia De La Rosa, Zoë De La Rosa, Livan Hernandez Jr. and Jose De La Rosa III, were the light of her life. Elisa's heart carried the pain of losing her precious daughter, Maria Virginia Hernandez, who tragically passed away on February 28, 2022. Though Maria's life was taken too soon, her memory lived on in the hearts of all who knew her, and Elisa never stopped honoring her memory.

Elisa was a woman of strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. Throughout her life, Elisa showed love and support to those in need, always putting others before herself. She loved taking care of others, as she was a caretaker for many years. Lichita will be dearly missed but it brings joy to our hearts knowing she lived a long life and is now resting with her beloved daughter.
