Eliseo I. Olivares, beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2020 at the age of 84. He slipped peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his wife of 60 years, as well as his 5 sons and family. He was born in Coahuila, Mexico on June 14, 1936
In early 1960 he moved his family to San Antonio, Texas. He began a career in photography with Gabriel's Studio. In the following years he continued to work for several well-known San Antonio companies including Friedrich's Air Conditioning, Pioneer Flour Mills and Fox Photos. Between working full time and part time on weekends to provide for his family, he was able to complete his high school diploma with St Mary University. Photography being one of his passions, our family is blessed to have an abundance of family photos spanning several decades.
Eliseo was a very loving, peaceful, and a compassionate person. One of his passions during the 70's and early 80's was to volunteer with Elf Louise often dressing up as Santa to deliver presents to families. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Even when his eyesight began to diminish, he remained witty and would ask about all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eliseo is preceded in death by Daughter-in-law Lisa Blancas-Olivares.
Eliseo leaves behind the love of his life Josefa Ramos Olivares, Sons: Victor Hugo (Angie), Eliseo Jr, Antonio (Rosalinda), Rolando (Yolanda), and Jose Ricardo. Along with 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He will forever be in our hearts and missed greatly. LOVE YOU DAD!
