May 20, 1925 – March 21, 2023
Our beautiful, beloved mother, Eloisa V. Celestino passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2023, at the blessed age of 97, to our heavenly father. Our mother was surrounded by her family as she drew her last breath, thank you Jesus for picking her up to heaven in her our of need, blessed you are Jesus.
Mom was born in D'Hanis, Texas to her beloved parents Enrique Valdez and Dionicia DeLa Cruz Valdez as they proceeded her and also her brothers and sisters before her. Angelita Alfaro, Leonor Navarro, Sara Pedraza (Domingo Pedraza), Jose Maria Valdez(Conchita Valdez), Jose Angel Valdez (Victoria Valdez), Juanita Torres (Alfonso Torres), son-in-law Luis S. Flores, grandchildren Luis C. Flores, Paul Arthur Flores "Paulie", and lastly our mother to join our dad Arthur G. Celestino, to be together once again. Hallelujah!
Her memory and legacy lives on by her surviving children daughters Josefa Zamora, Clara C. Flores, and her son Arthur G. Celestino Jr. Also, by all her beloved grandchildren: Alfredo DeAnda (Martha), Gabriel DeAnda, Joseph Richard Flores (Lorena Garcia), Adrienne Clair Villarreal (Ezequiel), Roland Celestino, and Jacob Celestino. Her great grandchildren, Brandon DeAnda, Amber DeAnda, Jeremy DeAnda, Esiah DeAnda, Jeffrey Alexander Flores, Omni Garcia, Ric Paul Jameson Garcia-Flores, Luis Anthony Flores, Krissy Jasmine Flores, Justin Nicholas Flores, Renesmy Jade Flores, Ezequiel Legend Villarreal, Austin Colt Villarreal, Zoe Celestino and Lucas Celestino. Also to include all her nieces and nephews which she loved and adored so much, thank you.
Our mother had a long life, ninety-seven years. She had a compassionate and giving heart to all she knew. She was a very responsible and hard-working person. She began working at the age of 14 years old. She worked many jobs along the years, her last job was with Kelly Air Force Base, where she worked as a painter for 25 years until her retirement. Even at 97 years old it was very hard for us to let go, Mom we love you dearly and you will forever be in our hearts. We will all miss you very much. We know you had so much love for everyone you encountered. Thank you for all the love, support, and fond memories you have left us with.
Thank you for all the support we received from Holy Savior Hospice, staff, Janet, and Chaplain Grace. We especially thank your beloved cousins, family, and friends. May God Bless all of you.

Tuesday April 4, 2023: Visitation @ Castillo Funeral Home 3:30-8pm. The Rosary will begin at 6pm.
Wednesday, April 5,2023: Departure 10:30am, Funeral Mass 11:00am @ San Juan de Los Lagos Catholic Church. El Paso St. and 19 th St.
Interment will be at Ft. Sam Houston, National Cemetery.
