Obituary

Eloy La Que III was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 29, 1987. Eloy was called home on
December 17, 2020 at the age of 32.

Eloy served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 2006 - 2010. In 2010, he met the love of his life, Scarlett-Rae La Que and they were married on November 16, 2013.

Eloy was a proud Marine but his passion was the calling God put on his heart after he found his way back to Jesus in 2015, and that was ministry. Eloy was a faithful servant and he always went above and beyond to reach one more person for God. He led by example and his kind spirit was infectious. This calling led him to pursue and earn an Associate of Arts degree in Leadership and Ministry from Grace Christian University in 2018 and he was in progress to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in Leadership and Ministry with a concentration in Youth Ministry. Eloy felt especially called to student ministry as he wanted to help and encourage our youth to develop that relationship with God that he had walked away from when he was younger.

Although he didn't officially hold the title of "pastor", he lived out his purpose pastoring, ministering, and caring for everyone he had the opportunity to encounter.
Eloy loved people and was one of the easiest people to talk to and his legacy will live on through everyone he met.

Eloy is loved and will be missed by his wife of 7 years Scarlett-Rae La Que, mother Elizabeth LaQue, father and step-mother Eloy and Jannett LaQue, grandmothers Mary Pedraza, Pauline Williams, and Jesusa Rodriguez, father-and-mother-in-law Fernando and Leticia Herrera, sisters Taylor Rodriguez and Tiffani LaQue, brothers Branden LaQue, Jacob LaQue, Jordan Marin, Jacob Rodriguez, and Leo Ortiz, niece Hazel Grace Ruiz, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 3:00pm until 7:30pm with a prayer service at 5:30pm and Rosary to follow immediately after at 6:00pm. On Monday, January 4, 2021 family and friends will meet at Northrock Church, 1278 N Loop 1604 E. San Antonio, Tx 78232 for a final viewing at 10am, and a celebration of Eloy's life to begin at 11am. to celebrate Eloy's life. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."
