Elsa Maria Zamora was born May 17, 1967 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico to Manuel and Rosa Almazan.

Elsa was the youngest sister of a family of four, older brother Kiko, older sisters Laura & Tina. Around 1980 Elsa would come to the United States and would meet Ernesto Zamora. In 1982 they married, soon after had a son Ernesto Zamora, Jr.; and in 1991 a daughter, Kelsey Zamora.

Elsa devoted her life to faith and family. Elsa would routinely take her children to church services and church events as they grew up into young adults. Elsa always looked to the positive side in life rather than taking in the negative. However, in 2005 Elsa would be diagnosed with breast cancer; while the news was devastating to her and the family, she kept her faith. With her family beside her in full support, she began extensive treatments and chemotherapy. In 4 years she beat breast cancer and was breast cancer-free.

Elsa and Ernesto Zamora Sr. would end their marriage in 2014, but it didn't bring Elsa down. She continued on, forging forward with the support of her children, now adults, for the following years.

Elsa would be employed at Walmart, where she found a new set of friends and colleagues. Elsa was always happy and proud of her work, earning her multiple "Associate of the Month" awards at Walmart. In 2021, Elsa suffered a diabetic incident that would, unfortunately, cause her to temporally leave Walmart. She later attempted a return, but regrettably due to her condition could not stay.

In the early morning of Saturday, January 22, 2022, at age of 54, Elsa was called home to be with the Lord. Elsa is reunited in heaven with her mother, father, and older sister Tina. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her children Ernesto Zamora, Jr., Kelsey Zamora; father of her children Ernesto Zamora Sr.; siblings Kiko & Laura, Jesse Rodriguez, extended family members, and all of her friends and colleagues she's met among her lifetime. Elsa will be remembered, live, and stay forever in our hearts and minds.
