Elvia Castillo
Gonzalez
August 24, 1934 – January 20, 2020
Elvia Castillo Gonzalez was called home to be with our Lord on January 20th, 2020. She was 86 years old. She was born in Del Rio, Texas on August 24th, 1933. Elvia was the wife of Ramiro Gonzalez, an Air Force Tech Sergeant. She spent many years employed as a switchboard operator for both the Air Force as well as the private sector. As a young mother, she often had the responsibility of raising five children while her husband Ramiro, was stationed overseas. She was a loving, doting soul who shared her love with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and countless cousins, relatives, and friends. She opened her heart and home to all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her illness robbed her of her memory and physical body but her family and friends loved her and spent time and prayers with her till she left to be with God, her parents, husband, and daughter in heaven.
She is survived by her four sons, David Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez (Sara), Rene Gonzalez (Yvette), and Ramiro Gonzalez (Marilyn) and Paul Skinner, husband of her late daughter, Ymelda Skinner. Eight grandchildren that include Mark Skinner (Monica), Miguel Martinez (Mary), Matthew Skinner, Michael Gonzalez, Daniel J. Gonzalez, Zachariah Gonzalez (Bridgette), David Gonzalez, and Kathryn Gonzalez. Five great-grandchildren, Mark Skinner, Melea Martinez, Mariana Martinez, Max Martinez, Addie Gonzalez, and Juliet Gonzalez.
