Elvira M.
Lopez
November 21, 1941 – September 20, 2023
Our beloved Matriarch, Elvira M. Lopez, was called to eternal rest on September 20, 2023, at the blessed age of 81. Elvira was born on November 21, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to the late Octavio Martinez and Petra Hernandez. Elvira was considered the life & heart of the family; always willing to love and support others without conditions. She experienced all of life's up & downs and still managed to live life to the fullest; enjoying a numerous amount of gatherings and adventures with so many of her family & friends.
Elvira had many passions in life such as thrift shopping (aka the G.W. Boutique), tending to her flowers & plants, watching boxing (especially Canelo Alvarez), listening to music, and affectionately loving all her animals & birds. Along with those passions she also enjoyed cooking some of her many favorite dishes - nopales, homemade beans, salsa, tortillas, chicharrónes, and tamales. She took pride in knowing that no visitor, friend or family, would ever leave her house feeling hungry.
Elvira was blessed with a large family and she will be missed tremendously by all who knew & loved her. She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents; her former husbands Jesus Saucedo, Elias Felan, and Jose Angel Lopez; sons Jesus Saucedo Jr. and Jose Angel Lopez Jr.; daughter Palmira Mendez; son-in-law Raul L. Hernandez; and grandson Mark Anthony Gomez.
Elvira leaves behind a large, loving family that will continue her traditions and good deeds until the day they are reunited in Heaven. She is survived by her partner of 16 years, Domingo Garcia and her children Catarina Palafos (Rafael Palafos), Gloria Hernandez, Steven Saucedo (Christina Sauceda), Leticia Gomez, Gabriel "Albert" Saucedo, Sandra Bosquez (Robert Bosquez), Elvira Aldaco (Juan Aldaco), and Juanita Lopez; daughter-in-law Crystallee Lopez; 33 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and also 4 siblings.
