Obituary

Emeterio Rodriguez Jr., also known as Emet, 68, went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2021 at Vitas Hospital. He was born December 13, 1952 in Gary, Indiana in his younger years attended Bishop Knoll Catholic High School, later in life moved to East Chicago, Indiana later in life moved Santa Anna, California and settled in San Antonio Texas with his wonderful wife, Rosa Rodriguez, of 16 years. He was a highly skilled truck driver for many years enjoying to travel the countryside.  He and his wife at one point enjoyed this lifestyle of traveling. In his lifetime he enjoyed cross-country cycling, reading, avid swimmer/diver/lifeguard at swimming pools and beaches had a generous heart to helping others. He loved trying new things and was adventurous. He had a wonderful smile that will be truly missed. Mr. Rodriguez was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

His mother Jenni Rodriguez has passed and is with him in heaven. Survivors include his wife Rosa Rodriguez, stepsons Carlos Ledesma (Sandra) and Nicholas Ledesma. The grandchildren Maryjane Hernandez, Dominic Hernandez, Carlos Ledesma Jr., Joe Vidaurri Jr., Jazmin Ledesma, great-grandchild Mariana Hernandez. His older sister, Priscilla (Manuel) Garcia, brother John Ruiz, sister Maria (Abraham) Segovia, brother Elias (Alexandra) Rodriguez, nephews Manuel Garcia, John Garcia, Dominic Garcia, Bruce Garcia, Elias Rodriguez Jr., nieces Jacqueline Garcia, Madeleine Garcia, May Lee Garcia, Jenni Garcia, Erica Rodriguez, Kelly Rodriguez, Maria Segovia and many great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces that will miss him dearly.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio Tx, 78228 on Thursday, October 7, 2021, Visitation 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass, St. Paul Catholic Church, on Friday, October 8, 2021, 10:00 am. All to meet at Church.
