Emilio De La Garza, a loving father, grandfather, and husband passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 27, 2022, at the age of 60.

Emilio was born on December 17, 1961, to Romana Salinas Moore and Rubencio De La Garza Jr. in San Antonio, TX. He was generous, funny, outgoing, strong & nothing but heart! He was a mechanic most of his life and loved working on fast cars, barbecuing, and spending time with his loving family.

Emilio is preceded in death by his Mother Romana Salinas Moore, Father Rubencio De La Garza Jr., Stepfather Robert Moore, Sisters, Sara De La Garza Costilla, Angie De La Garza. Brother Jesus De La Garza, and Son in Law Manuel Cantu Jr. All which welcome him with open arms in the Kingdom of Heaven.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Elizabeth Rodriguez, Daughter Jennifer De La Garza, and precious Grandchildren Elizabeth Olguin, Manuel Emilio Cantu and Khloe Cantu, and his brother, Rubencio De La Garza III. He will be missed tremendously and remembered in our hearts forever!

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a chapel service to begin at 6:00 pm. A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00am at San Jose Burial Park where family and friends will meet for interment.
