Ernest Perez Herrera Passed away peacefully on April 16, 2020, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 63 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 16, 1956.

Ernest spent all of his career in retail and store planning, where he retired from years of service to Sam's Club/Wal-Mart. He graduated from John Jay High School in 1974. He was married to his wife, Elisa G. Herrera for 45 years. He spent most of his free time with his grandchildren and going to Casinos with his wife. He was a leader, teacher and giver at heart. He has touched many people's lives throughout his career and life in general. He was a big fan of Texas sports: Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, etc.

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Juan R. Herrera & Eliza P. Herrera; brother, Juan R. Herrera; sister, Belinda P. Osborne; and nephew, Michael Martinez.

He will be missed by his Beloved Wife, Elisa G. Herrera; son, Ernest G. Herrera Jr.; grandchildren, Jakob & Jonathan Herrera; sister, Sylvia Martinez (Michael); brother, Paul Herrera; nephew, Mark Martinez; niece, Melinda Rosas (Erik); and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The Family would also like to thank the University Hospital staff for the extra love and care they showed Ernest and his family.
