Ernestine Garcia Ortiz was born February 18, 1961, and sadly left us on Tuesday April 30, 2024. She will reunite in heaven with her parents Maria DeLeon and Alfredo Garcia, her sister Rosemary and her brother Henry Garcia.

Ernestine was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1980. She loved her arts and crafts, trips to the beach, casinos, and amusement parks with her family. She was a great cook and was well known for her Lasagna. She loved caring for and doing for others. Tina enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and significant other Mike. Her children were the light of her life and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them, she will be missed dearly by them, and it will be hard to go on without her, knowing that she wanted to be here for her kids, grandkids, and the rest of the family. It feels like her life was cut too short, but she will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her significant other Mike Gonzales; her two children Maria Esperanza Garcia and Adrian Michael Garcia; her grandkids Jermiah, Izayah Violette, Kayden; her siblings Alfred Garcia, Robert Garcia, Diana Lira; as well as a host of extended cousins, family, and friends, all of whom will miss her loving heart and fearless attitude.

Though dear Ernestine is no longer here in person she is with us in spirit. A spirit that will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her and her life full of love that endured generations.

Visitation to take place on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Services to conclude Sunday evening.
