Ernesto “Neto” Chavez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernesto “Neto” Chavez, who was born on April 13, 1942, and passed away on October 15, 2026.

Neto was a hardworking and loving man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a special love for fishing and was a talented carpenter, spending many years working with his hands and creating things that will continue to serve as reminders of him for years to come.

He leaves behind his three loving daughters, Gracie Trevino and her husband, Anthony Trevino; Debra Calbillo and her husband, Rolando Calbillo; and Helen Aleman. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to 4 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, along with many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Neto is reunited in Heaven with his beloved daughter, Sandra Colón, whom he deeply loved and missed.

His family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him—his love, his stories, the things he built with his own hands, and the time spent fishing. His memory will live on through his daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, family, and friends.

Rest peacefully, Neto. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
