Esmeralda Brosseau went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the age of 55. Esmeralda was born on December 10, 1966 to the late Segundo and Sulema (Mercado) Estrada in San Antonio, Texas. After high school, Esmeralda attended Texas Lutheran University, earning her bachelor's degree in Athletic Education. She was an Athletic Coach for 32 years with Northside Independent School District and South San Antonio Independent School District.

Esmeralda married her Husband, James Richard Brosseau on November 24, 1993 and they had 20 years of marital bliss until his passing in 2014. She had a passion for dancing, especially to country music. Her smile lit up a room, and her energy was contagious. Esmeralda didn't slow down, even after being diagnosed with Laryngeal Cancer in 2016. She loved spending time with her family outdoors, going shopping with her friends, or spending time learning about her recent love for Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Esmeralda is reunited in Heaven with her parents and her beloved Husband Jim. She is deeply missed and will forever hold a place in our hearts and actions, inspiring us to help others the way she did. Esmeralda leaves behind her loving son, Joseph Michael Brosseau; siblings Genoveva Esparza, Rodolfo Estrada (Elita), Victor Estrada, Yolanda Samaniego (Raymond), and Delia Carrera (Johnny); her loving fur baby Rhonda who was by her side at all times; numerous extended family and friends; and countless students throughout her 32 years of coaching.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Castillo Funeral Home from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will gather for a Prayer Service at 10:00am on Monday, September 19, 2022  at Castillo Funeral Home. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
