Esperanza H. Pennington passed away peacefully on March 16, 2021 surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 42 years old and was born in San Antonio, TX, on August 29, 1978.

Esperanza went by "Hopie or Hopie Lee". She graduated from Memorial High School in summer of 1996. She had a love for children and worked in childcare after high school. She did marry on February 11, 2007 to Mohammad Pennington and two years later gave birth to a beautiful daughter Maribel Dominga Pennington these two days were the happiest days of her life. She enjoyed being with family and always gave her all to others. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she always enjoyed going to Six Fags to see all the scary monsters. She a had huge love for doing word searches, music, dancing, and always brought the fun side in everyone.

Esperanza is also proceeded in death by her mother Maria Hernandez, father Espiririon Hernandez Jr, grandmother Victoria Oronoz, grandfather Jesus Oronoz, grandmother Esperanza Hernandez, and grandfather Espiririon Hernandez Sr.

Esperanza is loved and will be missed by her husband Mohammad Pennington, daughter Maribel Pennington, mother-in-law Dolores Pennington, sisters Victoria Hernandez, Libby Pennington, brother Ruben Hernandez, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
