Esperanza (Hope) Tobar entered eternal rest on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the blessed age of 80. She was born November 5, 1941 in San Antonio, TX to Rogelio Hernandez and Maria Luisa Marmolejo. She is reunited in heaven with her parents; brother Abelardo (Billy) Hernandez, sisters Ernestina Huerta and Esther Lopez. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her ex-husband Frank R. Tobar; her lifetime partner Ceso Castillo; children Frank H. Tobar Jr (Mary) and Richard H. Tobar (Olga), grandchildren Richard R. Tobar Jr (Brianna), John C. A. Tobar & Dylan M. Tobar; great-grandchildren Evelyn Tobar, Richard Tobar III and Daisy "Hope" Tobar; siblings Evangelina (Vangie) Bustamante, Jesse Hernandez, Elida Calonge, Consuelo (Connie) Campos; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members & friends.

Hope was spunky, full of life and wasn't afraid to be adventurous. She loved her family and helped them with whatever they needed.  She will live forever in our hearts and will be deeply missed . Philippians 1:3: "I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you..."
