Estanislao "Caballo" Rodriguez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, rode off into the golden sunset on May 15, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 79. He was born on January 12, 1945, in Jaral del Progreso, Guanajuato, to the loving embrace of his parents, Trinidad and Josefa Rodriguez.

Caballo's journey through life was characterized by a strong spirit and a compassionate heart. Known for his signature cowboy hat, jeans, and cowboy boots, he embodied the work ethic of a true cowboy. Caballo found comfort and joy in the simple pleasures of Norteño music and Miller Lite, lottery tickets, watching baseball, and immersing himself in the timeless tales of old western movies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Josefa, and his brother, Roberto Rodriguez. Caballo is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife, Mary. His daughter, five sons, four sisters, two brothers, and numerous grandchildren will carry on his legacy of love and strength.

A rosary to honor his life will be held on May 22, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home on North General McMullen Drive in San Antonio, Texas, from 5-8 p.m. A mass and funeral procession will be held the following day at Our Lady of Good Counsel, beginning at 10 a.m. As we gather to bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us remember Caballo's indomitable spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless cherished memories he leaves behind.
