Estella Janie Almendarez

November 22, 1951 – May 15, 2026

Estella Janie Almendarez, 74, of San Antonio, TX., passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband. A daughter of the late Richard Trevino and Adelida Trevino.

She was born on November 22, 1951, in Floresville, TX. and spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and an Early Childhood Provider at Poppy’s Kiddie Kampus. She was known for her never-ending love for her family and friends. She loved welcoming family and friends into her home for special celebrations. She loved having movie night with family, cheering her grandchildren on at their sports events and loved watching her San Antonio Spurs play, and loved to celebrate her favorite holidays Christmas and New year’s with her family. Stella Almendarez lived happily with her love of her life Eddie Almendarez and was so blessed to have been married to him for 50 years. She will be deeply missed and will forever be remembered for her love for her family and pets.

Stella is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Eddie Almendarez ; her children, John Reyes (Isabel), Stacy Almendarez ( Andrew), Eddie Almendarez (Brenda); her grandchildren, Amanda Reyes, Davien Cuevas, John Reyes, Giselle Almendarez, Avannah Cuevas; great grandchildren, Giovanni Villagomez; extended grandchildren, Sabastian Anderson, Samantha Anderson and numerous brothers and sister. She was preceded in death by mother, Adelida Trevino; father, Richard Trevino; sister, Irene Trevino; brother, Fernando Trevino.
