With love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of our beloved mother, Estella Neira Lopez, 78, who went to be with our Lord on May 27th, 2026. Estella was born on June 14th, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Cipriano Neira and Tomasa Rodriguez, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Estella was a beautiful, caring, and faithful woman with a kind heart. She loved her family, friends, and especially meeting new people.
Estella proudly worked as a housekeeper for many years and later retired as a line worker assembling mechanical pencils at the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. She enjoyed all genres of music especially Tejano, loved a good spin around the dance floor, spending time with her family and friends, sharing her life and learning of others over conversation, and always made great meals for her family. Our mother had a green thumb and always spoke encouraging words of growth to her plants. In her later years, our mother enjoyed watching her family grow, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching classic or suspense movies, shopping and dining with her best friend, and word puzzles.
Estella is survived by her children, Robert Lopez Jr. (Linda), Ursula Lopez, and Crystal Felan (Jorge Jr.); grandchildren, Robert III (Ariella-Rae), Rico, Venessa, Averi, Addyson, Jorge III, and Jude; great grandchildren, Gwendolyn-Rae, Adalynn-Jae, and Adrienne-Renae; and family pets, Diego, Reddog, Sieanna, Jessie Lee, Hank, Bruno, and late Lobo Blu who grandma met at the rainbow bridge one day after she passed.
A special thanks to the doctors, nurses, aides, and therapists at the Methodist, University hospitals, and the Windemere Nursing Facility.
