Esther Rodriguez Morgan, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Esther was born October 16, 1948, in San Antonio, TX to Manuel and Paz Rodriguez.

Esther worked for the State of Texas for 23 years and retired in 2004. With her husband's support they started C&E Commercial Cleaning Service. The successful business ran for 15 years. Carlos and Esther met when they were both teenagers in the summer of 1965, a friendship started and blossomed to their marriage on September 16, 1969. Together they raised two children and would have been married 53 years this September.

Esther was a loving wife, mother, Onie (grandmother), and friend. She was known for her generosity and fun spirit and will be remembered and missed most for her playful and joking manner. She loved to cook and was the best at making caldos and menduo and was often asked for her recipe! She was a caring and giving person to several charities and never thought twice about helping her family. She will be greatly missed.

Esther is survived by her caring and attentive husband, Carlos V. Morgan, daughter, Lena M. Vega and her husband Albert Vega, son, Carlos "Charlie" Morgan, Jr. and grandchildren, Dana, Chuck, Jewel, Valyssa, Patrick, Nick, Kayleigh Rose and great grandchildren, Jiah, Jiovanni and Palmoa; sister Elena Ramos and her husband Jesus, and sister Dora Cristan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:30PM to 8PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228. A rosary service will begin at 6:00PM. Funeral service will occur Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 10:30AM at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S. San Augustine Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237 with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
