Eufrasia R.
Rodriguez
April 13, 1941 – April 29, 2023
Eufrasia was born on April 13, 1941, to Anastacia and Guadalupe Peña in San Antonio, Texas. She attended David Barkley Elementary in the Westside of San Antonio in the early 40s and continued to work on farms across Texas with her family. She went on to marry Pedro Rodriguez Sr. in 1963 and raised a family of four in the Southside. Eufrasia was also always interested in discussing current events, family history, and praising the Lord.
Not only did Eufrasia accomplish raising a great family, she was a good story teller rich in family history, she loved all of her family including her brothers and sister, cousins and the vast amount of nieces and nephews. Though she battled three cancers, she was a warrior who still had the strength to pray for others and was able to lead a very extensive life.
As a member of Centro Christiano International the majority of her life was dedicated to being a prayer warrior for others and as a giving person, she always blessed people she met. Eufrasia captivated the hearts of people worldwide to the far reaches of South America and Asia. Her belief in God and the Lord Jesus Christ allowed her to spread the word of Christianity.
Eufrasia's family was left with great memories of love and happiness as she had a strong and distinct rapport with all of her family members. Just about everyone has a good story to tell about Eufrasia and that is the kindness and loving spirit she lived. As she left a lasting memory in all of the people she met in her lifetime, "Chista's" memory lives on.
Eufrasia excelled at propping up her family and friends and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was a friend, family, or a stranger, she made it her mission to enrich and improve the lives of others.
Eufrasia immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She was a joyful presence with her colorful tie-die clothes, beautiful hair, creative fashion choices, and charismatic personality. Her favorite color was like the rainbow distinctly purple, and we would like her celebration of life to be full of vibrancy, color and joyful gospel music. We will miss her greatly.
Eufrasia was preceded in death by her mother Anastacia R. Peña, father Guadalupe T. Peña, Brothers Manuel, Iñez, Juan, Elias, Sisters-in-law Maria, Mary Ruth, and Ester. She is survived by her husband Pedro G. Rodriguez, Daughter Annette Guerrero (Daniel), Sons Pete (Patty), Danny (Janie), Robert Anthony (Reyna); Grandsons Robert Gil, Rudy Orozco Jr., Joshua Clayton Rodriguez, Granddaughters Raven Rodriguez, Jewel Ski Gonzales, and Mariah Rodriguez; Sister Petra P. Gutierrez, Brother Alfonso R. Peña, sister-in-law Angelita Peña and 100s of cousins, nieces and nephews.
