Eugene Rodriguez, born March 20, 1933, departed from this world in January 2024, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, service, and music. He served in the Army after graduating from Lanier High School in 1953. Eugene worked as an electronic technician at Kelly for three decades, taught computer technology, and ran his own TV repair shop.

A skilled musician, Eugene mastered the accordion and guitar, leaving a lasting impression with his conjunto band. He also tended to his garden, nurturing crops of tomatoes, cabbage, and squash while imparting his wisdom to his grandchildren.

Eugene found solace in nature, exploring state parks and hunting for buried treasures. He shared 46 years of companionship with his beloved wife, Juanita Rodriguez, and leaves behind cherished memories with his daughter, Irma Garza, son Anthony (Tony) Rodriguez (Pat Rodriguez), siblings Marcella and Jesse.

His legacy is further enriched by the lives of his grandchildren: Jason Garza (Stephanie Garza), Jessica Gonzales (Leandro Gonzales), Arianna Rodriguez and his great-grandchildren: Aubri Garza, Milena (Mila) Gonzales, Leandro (Nico) Gonzales, Luca Gonzales, Easton Gunari and Maverick Garza.
