Eva Rivera Ocampo, born February 14, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas, was called to be with the lord on May 21, 2023 at the blessed age of 94. She is reunited in heaven with her husband Socorro; sons Friar Arturo OFM, and Armando; and grandson, Pollito.

Eva was a passionate woman devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a member of C.O.P.S, fought for the betterment of the neighborhood,  and was a major advocate for making her southside community safe. Everyone was welcomed into Eva's Home and nobody left hungry. She passed on her wisdom  of strength famously stating "tough times don't last, but tough people do."

Eva is survived by her three children — sons, Paul (Christina) and Deacon Jose Luis (Rachel), and daughter, Lucy; daughter-in-law Elsa; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

We will miss the matriarch of our family, the bedrock of our future, and the bridge to our past.
