Evangelina D. Maldonado passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021. She was surrounded by the warmth and love of her children. She was 79 years old.  She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 16, 1942. Evangelina married Ruben H. Maldonado Sr. on May 29, 1960 and had six children, three boys and three girls. Her passion and love was her family.  She enjoyed the company of her children and grand children. She enjoyed  preparing meals for them and having good conversation. She faced many obstacles in life, both seen and unseen. In spite of this, she always overcame with a quiet but constant determination. She was a very caring and loving mother and grandmother and she will be missed tremendously.  Now she's with our Lord and Savior, Amen. She is preceded by her loving husband of 61 years who passed away on December 22, 2010, her father and mother Francisco Diaz and Juanita R. Castillo and her brother Raymond Diaz and two sisters, Elida Samuda and Adela Cantu. She is survived by her children Ruby Martinez and Cipriano Martinez, Diane Maldonado, Ruben Maldonado Jr. and Joe L Villanueva, Adam Maldonado and Shirley Maldonado, John Anthony Maldonado and Dalila Torres, and Melissa Maldonado and sister Mary Jane Konoval. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mario Alonzo, Rhoen Anthony Maldonado and Stephen Jude Maldonado and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
