Felipe Aguilar, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by his closest family and loved ones.

He was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico; however, he lived the majority of his life in San Antonio, Texas, where he built a life centered around Christ, family, hard work, and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remigo Aguilar and Maria Candelaria Cardenas, his wife, Margarita Aguilar, as well as his son, Luis Aguilar, and daughter, Ruth Samano.

He is survived by his five remaining children, Israel Aguilar, Felipe Aguilar, Santa Aguilar, Noemi Sierra, and Beatrice Martinez, as well as his 26 grand children, 63 great grand children, and nine great great grand children.

Felipe was known for and loved sharing the word of God, singing, making music, and above all, spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

A service will be held on Thursday March 26,2026 at 6pm at Castillo Funeral Home. It will be open to loved ones at 4pm-8pm.
Friday funeral service starts at 10am at Castillo Funeral Home and then there's the procession to the burial grounds at San Jose Cemetery.
