Obituary

Felix Joseph Carrillo, passed away peacefully Wednesday April 29, 2020, at the age of 94. He served as a member of the 180th AT CO 38th Infintry in the US Army during World War II. As an Anti-Tank Gun Crewman, he fought in the Rhineland campaign, which was one of the units that liberated the prisoners at Dachau. Soon after, on December 13, 1947, he married his lovely wife Susie Benítez. He was a hard worker all his life and seldom sat still. His trades included mechanics, electrical, plumbing and construction. Some things he enjoyed doing in his spare time were watching Westerns, the Dallas Cowboys, wrestling and completing word find puzzles. Most of all, he loved going out to eat and spending time with his family. He was always a kind, friendly and helpful individual. He was a great father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother Ernestine Hetler Carrillo, father Pat Carrillo, sister Irene Ramos, wife Susie Carrillo and stepson Gilbert Carrillo. He is survived by his brother Pat Carrillo, half sisters Elsalee, Rosalee and Emily, sons Felix J. Carrillo Jr, Robert Carrillo, daughters Tina Hill (Lester), Diana Garza (Rick), granddaughters Ashley Hill (Ian), Audra Hill, Sabrina Garza, Claudia Garza and great grandchildren Scarlett, Gavin, Jaiden, Lucah, Cohen and other family members. Funeral Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home.
