Feliz R.
Martinez
March 31, 1925 – November 13, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Feliz R. Martinez.
Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on November 13, 2025. She was born
on March 31, 1925, in San Marcos, Texas.
Feliz loved family gatherings, cooking for her family, and going out to eat at Panchitos and Los Barrios Mexican restaurants. Her passions in life were gardening, dancing, taking trips to Kickapoo Casino, playing Bingo, and passing the time scratching off lottery tickets. You would often find her walking up and down South Park Mall on Saturdays with "Kiko".
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We find comfort in knowing Feliz is reunited in heaven with her husband of 65 years, Frank L. Martinez; her parents, Alejo and Tomasita Ramos; her daughter, Rachel M. Esquivel; her grandson, Johnny Rodriguez Jr.; her brothers, Pete, Gumecindo, and Alex "Junie" Ramos; and
her sisters, Agapita, Francis, and Susie.
Feliz is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her children, Manuel and Santa De Leon, Rosie and Johnny Rodriguez, Becky and Larry Brantley, and Suzanne and Louie Herrada; her sister, Mary Pachecano (Armando); her brother, Joe Ramos (Elia); and her nine grandchildren: Frankie, Bobby, Shirley, Betty, Monica, Bianca, Janina, Michelle, and Cyndi.
She is also survived by her 23 great-grandchildren—Marina, Bobby, Lily, Marie, Julian, Nicole, Justin, Eric, Mikey, Jasmine, Amber Rose, Violet, Jacob, JJ, Janelle, Oscar, Jacob, Frankie, Chelsea, Ashley, Nicholas, Adrian, and Rachel—along with her three great-great-grandchildren,
Zachariah, Ezra, and Aziah, and one on the way. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well.
We will continue to honor her memory with the same strength and wisdom she showed us throughout her life.
Lord, we thank You for the beautiful life of Feliz R. Martinez and the love she shared with all of us. Please bring comfort and peace to our family as we carry her memory in our hearts. Welcome her into Your eternal rest, and guide us with the strength she left behind.
Amen
