Fernanda P. Flores went home to our Lord and joined her husband Fernando L. Flores peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 17, 2022. She was born on May 30, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her 92 years of life were filled with love and laughter, which is comforting to all. She enjoyed going to casinos, on cruises, watching game shows and novelas.

Fernanda was preceded in death by her parents, Regino and Macedonia Portales, followed by her siblings Frank Portales, Emilio Portales, Janie Esquivel and Regino Portales, her grandson Christopher Gonzales and great-grandson Gabriel David Arce.

Fernanda is survived by her children Martha(Joe), Gloria(Ruperto), Bertha, Daniel(Lety), Esther(Tony), Olga(Roger), 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, her siblings Roy Portales and Eusebia Borrego and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4-8:00 pm. at Castillo Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 6:00 pm. Mass will be held at 11:30am. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, TX.
Interment will be held at 1:30 pm. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Fort Sam Houston  National Cemetery.
