Fidel Reyna Garcia, Jr., was born on February 23, 1936, in San Antonio, TX to Jesusita Reyna Garcia and Fidel Garcia Sr. He was one of eight children. Fidel graduated from Fox Tech HS in 1955 and joined the Air Force in 1954 where he proudly served and fought in the Korean War. He married his lifelong sweetheart, Nelly Yolanda Salazar Garcia in 1960 and together had three children.
Fidel is predeceased in death by both his parents and siblings; Juventino "Tino" Garcia, Olga Garcia Dumas, Jeanette "Jeanie" Garcia Everett, Viola Garcia De La Rosa, Lydia Garcia Saenz, Ida Garcia Ortega, and Annette "Annie" Garcia Rios. Tristan. Fidel is also survived by his grandchildren Taylor Ryan Long, Hunter Garcia, Cody Garcia, and Oscar Alvaro Hernandez.
Uncle Fidel, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, enjoyed spending time with his family and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and getting together with his sisters, friends, and family. His infectious laughter was contagious. Just hearing him break out in laughter made you participate whether you got the joke or not! His kind and gentle nature will be missed by us all and will forever leave a void in our hearts but his dear and enduring spirit will be with us forever.
