Frances S. Fonseca
September 3, 1924 – March 2, 2020

Frances Solis Fonseca, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. She was 95 years old.

Frances was born September 3, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to Luis Solis and Celia de la Fuente. On December 20, 1944 she married the love of her life, Juan M. Fonseca. It was in San Antonio that the two chose to live and raise a family. They were married 70 years. Both were members of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church Spanish Choir and Guadalupanos Society, where they developed many lasting friendships over the years. Frances was an active member of the Linda Vista Community. She also served as PTA President at Guerra Elementary.

She is preceded in death by her parents Luis Solis and Celia de la Fuente; her husband Juan M. Fonseca, her sons, Jose Luis Fonseca and Richard Fonseca; daughter Emma Fonseca; grand-children Joe John De Leon, Jose Luis Fonseca Jr, Ruby Ann Fonseca; great-great granddaughter Charlotte Rose Fonseca; and sons-in-law, Leno C. Cano III and Joe De Leon.

She is survived by her children Juan Fonseca Jr. (Maria), Maria Celia De Leon (Joe), Estella Jasso, Rosalinda Cano (Leno), David Fonseca, Olga Martinez (Lalo), Edward Fonseca, Connie Frances Gonzales, Sandra Teran (Carlos), Christina Fonseca (Kris Baca), 35 Grandchildren and their spouses, 65 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grand Children and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
