Obituary for Frances C. Rodriguez
January 29, 1937 – October 13, 2025
Frances C. Rodriguez, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025. Born on January 29, 1937, in Jourdanton, Texas, she was the youngest child of the late Roman and Carolina Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Eliseo Rodriguez and Esther Noriega.
A proud, lifelong Texan, Frances was known to everyone as the "fancy" aunt, always dressed to the nines, stylish, graceful, and full of confidence. She had an eye for fashion, a love for beautiful things, and a fondness for driving her collection of fancy cars. Though she dreamed of one day owning a red Corvette, she never quite made that final purchase but she certainly enjoyed the journey along the way.
Frances dedicated over 35 years of service to Parent Child Incorporated (PCI), a Head Start program, where she was an administrator. She started her journey under EODC in 1968 and in 1979 the programed changed to PCI where she retired on January 5, 2005. Her compassion for children and her unwavering work ethic touched countless lives and left a meaningful impact on her community.
She was a devoted Spurs fan, an enthusiastic traveler, and someone who embraced the vibrant culture of San Antonio. Frances loved attending the many festivals the city had to offer and never missed a chance to enjoy time with family and friends. She was deeply family-oriented and enjoyed making the drive back to Jourdanton to visit her brother Eliseo and his wife, Ermelinda, and she treasured every moment spent with her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Frances leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others whose lives were brightened by her presence. Her elegance, warmth, humor, and love of life will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
May her memory be a blessing to those she leaves behind.
