Obituary

Francisca Rodriguez
January 12, 1956 – August 23, 2026
Francisca Rodriguez, 70, of San Antonio, Texas, peacefully passed away on August 23, 2026, at Baylor
St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Born on January 12, 1956, in Acuña, Coahuila, to Lorenzo Rodriguez and Francisca Vasquez, Francisca
lived a life defined by dedication, resilience, and love. As a single, fiercely hardworking mother, she spent
many years serving her community, first at Estela’s Cafe and later at Garibaldi's Mexican Restaurant. She
became a beloved neighborhood fixture, famously known by everyone for her incredible, delicious
homemade flour tortillas. Beyond her hard work, Francisca possessed a deeply generous spirit and was
always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She has been reunited in eternal peace with her parents; her common-law husband, Juan Daniel
Hernandez; her daughter, Luz Maria Rodriguez; and her sister, Blanca Rosa Blanco.
