Francisco
Ibarra
September 26, 1975 – April 25, 2025
Francisco Ibarra was called home to our Lord on Friday April 25th, 2025. He was born on September 26th, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas. Even though he was born with cerebral palsy as an infant and not given much hope for his longevity by doctors, he defied the odds and lived well to be fifty. And despite facing many adversities in his lifetime, he learned to walk and speak a few words. Although there was a lack of verbal communication, the deep connection he had with loved ones meant there was no obstacle to understanding him.
He is proceeded in heaven by his parents Damaso and Ofelia Ibarra and his brother Santiago. He is survived by his eight brothers; Miguel, Roberto, Ismael, Ernesto, Jose, Ricardo, Victor, Mikey and four sisters; Lidia, Irma, Angelica, Juanita, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The church teaches that disable loved ones absolutely go to heaven. God's mercy is bigger than human understanding. Even if an individual can't fully grasp faith, Jesus can unite to himself. Jesus said, we must become like little children to enter the kingdom of heaven. I know that with my brother's pure heart and innocence he is in heaven.
He grew up in a loving home with parents and family who devoted themselves to him. He was the light in our family, and he will be deeply missed by all.
Family and friends whose lives have been touched by Francisco are invited to celebrate his life. Visitation begins at 4:00 pm followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Castillo Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday May 7, 2025, at 9:00 am for mass at St. Rose De Lima Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park on 8235 Mission Rd.
