Francisco L. Marroquin "Frank" of San Antonio, TX, entered eternal rest on July 15, 2024, he was 68 years old. Frank was born on May 24, 1956, to Alejandro and Virginia Marroquin. He began his life as a young, hardworking, shoe-shine boy in the heart of San Antonio's west side. He graduated from Kennedy High School and worked at Frost Bank. He spent 31 years serving his country as a civil servant, aircraft mechanic. During his career, he worked at Kelly Air Force Base, TX and moved to Oklahoma City, OK to work at Tinker Air Force Base, until he retired in 2011 from the Corpus Christi Army Depot in Corpus Christi, TX. He loved his family and friends, spent time watching his favorite sports teams (Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and San Antonio Spurs), working on his 1997 GMC truck, and listening and dancing to his favorite music (Country and Tejano).
He is preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Virginia Marroquin, and his brother Alfonso Marroquin. He is survived by his partner Deborah Riley, his children Crystal Perez (Jesse), and Roxanne Mijares (Carlos), grandchildren: Jackson, Everett, Nico and Dylan, Brother Alejandro Marroquin (Lupe), Sister Armandina Magana (Enrique), and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the care team at Alamo Hospice for the compassionate care of their Father.
There will be a Visitation on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. Gen McMullen Dr. San Antonio, TX 78228. Visitation will continue Friday, July 26, 2024, at 8:30 am with procession at 9:30 am, and the funeral mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 1204 Castroville Rd. San Antonio, TX 78237. The burial will follow at San Fernando III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
