Obituary

Fred Rivera Villarreal went to be with our Lord on May 18, 2022, at the age of 90.

Fred was born on January 10, 1932, in San Antonio Texas to the late Felderico and Catarina Rivera Villarreal. He proudly served in the United States Army with a rank of private second class as an ammo handler. He would go on to spend 34 years of federal service as a civilian employee with the Department of the Air Force before retiring. Fred was a devoted Christian who loved to preach and write scriptures from the bible. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, sitting around playing his guitar and singing. He had an incredible skill of meticulously assembling model airplanes. He was handy and creative using woodwork to craft all kinds of items. Fred and his late wife Maria Elia shared an incredible sixty-six-year adventure and marriage together. He played an enormous role in the lives of his children and grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life.

He inspired those around him to be better individuals. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds. He was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Fred loved when family and friends got together. Those times exist in our memories and will be cherished forever. We loved his caring ways, he will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on

There are no words that can express the feelings in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
