Galilea Diaz passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the age of 22.

Galilea was born on March 2, 2000, in Westminster, CA the only daughter of Sarah and Israel Diaz. She was the middle child of two brothers: Nathan, and J. Joel. Galilea had one child, her 5-year-old son Eli Jeremiah Gallegos, whom she loved so much.

As a typical young adult in the 21st century Galilea enjoyed what life had to offer her. She took pride in her appearance which paired well with her interest in fashion and makeup. Scary movies were always her favorite genre. Galilea loved music and had a terrific voice. Her goal was to share with the world her gift which was supported and encouraged by those lucky enough to hear her sing. She had the potential to accomplish anything she set her mind on. Galilea was a shining star that faded too soon.

Known also as Gali, she was confident, tough and strong, and never worried about the opinion of others. She stood up for those around her who were different, bullied, or less confident, encouraging self-respect and motivating change in her own way. Inside the tough exterior was a daughter and mother who truly loved those closest to her in a way that wasn't always conventional. Still evident in her role as the protective mother who thought of and talked about her son often; or the enduring relationship she had with her parents who were a constant support for her. Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds. Galilea was kind, beautiful, strong, and had an amazing sense of humor paired with her infectious laugh. Galilea inspired those around her to be better individuals who all have stories and lessons learned from her. Those times exists now in our memories and will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her son, Eli Jeremiah Gallegos; parents, Sarah Diaz, and Israel Diaz; siblings, Nathan Diaz and J. Joel Diaz; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Wildflower Cemetery.
