Genaro R. Ortiz, passed away peacefully in his home on the West Side of San Antonio, Texas on March 19th, 2024.

Genaro was born on January 17th, 1947 in San Antonio, TX to Daniel Ortiz and Juanita Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Marie Ortiz, son Daniel R. Ortiz, and his brothers Santiago (Jimmy), Daniel, and Jose.

Genaro is survived by his 6 children; Genaro Jr. (Mary Ortiz) , Enriqueta (Gino Rubio), Javier (Analisa Ortiz), George (Veronica Ortiz), Daniel (Melanie Ortiz), and David. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 8 sisters, and 5 brothers.

Genaro lived his life working as a welder/mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. Genaro's shining characteristic was the love and admiration he had for his family.
