Obituary

Genaro H. Ramos went to be with our Lord on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at the blessed age of 85 years old.
He was born July 10, 1931 in Coahuila, Mexico and is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents Francisco Ramos Lucio and Francisca Hernandez Rodriguez Ramos and siblings Ramon Ramos and Silveria Fernandez. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Those who knew Genaro knew him by nickname (Chore) recognized how important family was to him. He will be remembered as big hearted, generous and loving person who had a heart of gold. He was always the life of the party, telling funny stories, dancing and heaving his favorite band "Los Rancheritos". He loved nothing more than to work outdoors having BBQ's but mostly going to the Kickapoo casino. He also loved watching boxing Saturday nights with family and friends or simply hanging out on his front porch. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever last in our hearts.
Genaro leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Celia R. Ramos; his three children Janie Ramos-Velazquez(Victor Manuel), Genaro Ramos Jr.(Frances Segovia Ramos), and Elizabeth Ramos-Garcia(Orlando); 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; sister Margarita Ramos Flores and extended family and friends.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will gather at Castillo Funeral Home to depart at 9:00am for a funeral mass at St. Mary Magdalen's Catholic Church at 10:00am. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
