It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Genaro Elizalde Torres, who departed this life on May 1, 2026, at the age of 53. Genaro, known as Tio Chiquito or Chore, was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend whose presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone who knew him.
Genaro spent most of his life working as a mechanic, a profession he took great pride in. He was known for his strong work ethic, skilled hands, and willingness to help others whenever he could. Through his work, he demonstrated dedication, resilience, and care for those around him.
Above all else, Genaro loved his family. Home was his favorite place to be, especially when it was filled with the people he loved most. He found great joy in sharing meals, laughter, and stories with his family. Sunday dinners were one of his greatest traditions, creating memories his loved ones will forever hold close to their hearts.
Genaro appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching soccer, buying lottery tickets, watching the Rocky movies, keeping up with the latest narco novelas, doing crossword puzzles, renting movies to enjoy with his family, and drinking too much coffee and eating too much pan dulce. He especially enjoyed taking long drives, staying in hotels, and relaxing by the pool—small adventures that brought him peace and happiness.
One of the greatest blessings of his life was meeting the love of his life, Patricia Elizalde, back when they were teenagers. Their lifelong love story was built on friendship, devotion, and years of cherished memories together.
Genaro leaves behind his beloved wife, Patricia Elizalde; his loving children, Diego Elizalde and Kimberly Elizalde; his two cherished grandchildren, Noah Elizalde and Camila Elizalde; and many family members and friends who will deeply miss his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.
Though Genaro is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the traditions he created, the love he shared, and the countless memories he gave to those who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to family, and his ability to bring people together.
