Genoveva Lopez Fernandez, born on October 10, 1924, was called home to be with our Lord on July 2, 2024, at the age of 99. She is reunited in heaven with her husband Joe Fernandez and son Joe Fernandez Jr. Genoveva is loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Gloria Quinones and husband Jesse, and Irene Alaniz and husband Hector; along with five generations of 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Genoveva (Eva), lovingly called Momo by all that knew her, enjoyed traveling, playing poker and loteria, and loved dancing with her beloved husband.  She deeply loved her family and friends and expressed that love with her sweet ice tea and famous homemade tortillas. Momo was compassionate and welcoming, her laughter along with her contagious smile could light up a room and her words of wisdom made you stronger.

Momo was an example of how to live life to the fullest and taught her family how to cherish every moment. Her family will be forever thankful for the time they had with her; they wish to express gratitude for a lifetime of memories.
