Obituary

Genoveva Zamora, our cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on February 16,
2024, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She was 65 years old, born in San
Antonio, Texas, on October 20, 1958.
Many referred to her as "Ginny," or "Mrs. Ginny,". She served her community by working
with young children for most of her career. With over 30 years experience in education, she
was able to reach the hearts of many, many children. She was married to her first love, Daniel
(Danny) Zamora, for 51 years. Her children and grandchildren were the most important aspects
of her life. She adored being a grandmother, and especially loved spoiling them. There wasn't
anything she wouldn't do for her babies.
Ginny is loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters; Cynthia and Valerie Zamora,
and her son, Christopher Zamora. She will also be dearly missed by her 6 grandchildren:
Daniel Luna, Isela Luna, Jacob Garcia, Violet Garcia, Emma Garcia, Ava Zamora and her two
great grandchildren: Adelynna Garcia and Marisela Luna. Her extended family was also of
great importance: nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends were all dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Arturo Bishop and Maria Luisa Hernandez.
Her siblings: Fina Bishop, Arturo Bishop, Eulalia (Lala) Gonzales, Esperanza Bishop, Julia
Reygadas, Graciela Fiqueroa, Margarita Bishop, Maria Elena Vega, and Raul Bishop. Her living
siblings include: Anita Rodriguez, Dolores Bishop, and her little sister Lucy Vasquez.
We invite you to celebrate the life of our beloved mother, Genoveva B. Zamora.
Visitation to take place Thursday, February 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at
