George Edward Castillo, age 60 of San Antonio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 15, 2025. Born on February 1, 1965, in San Antonio, George graduated from Southwest High School. He dedicated his life as a Custodian at Northside ISD, known for his witty responses and captivating adventure stories. George was always up for an adventure and cherished spending time with his family, particularly his nieces and nephews. His absence will be deeply felt. He is survived by his mother, Florence Torres, and sisters Elizabeth, Hazel, and brothers Augustine, Oscar, and Gilbert. He is also preceded in death by his father, Augustine Castillo Sr., and his sister, Sander Lee McColley. A celebration of life will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on June 20, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
