George Escamila passed away on Thursday, April 23rd at the age of 70. He was born on April 19, 1950 to Cesar & Elisa Escamilla in San Antonio, TX. Upon graduation from Memorial High School, he joined the Navy and proudly served his country for 4 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to the education he received as a sailor, he also received a diploma with highest honors from the Stratford Career Institute of Vermont in interior decorating. Although he was 70 years old, he was half this age in heart and spirit. He could always be counted on for a laugh, a hug and an unjudging charisma that made him easy to love. We, his family, can rest easy in knowing that he is in heaven surrounded by those who have gone before him.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Cesar & Elisa Escamilla; sister, Ramona; brothers, Pedro, Gilberto, Jose, Carlos, Cristóbal and Arturo; his wife, Angie, and her daughter, Betty Jean, who he loved as his own.

He was loved and will be missed by all his remaining family members.
