George D. Ibarra Sr. was born May 6, 1937, to Loreto and Adela Ibarra in San Antonio, Texas he was one of five children which all have preceded him in death.  Attended Fox Tech High School, however; left high school to help his mother support his siblings.  He learned a trade alongside his uncle doing Sheet metal work.   Later in life he wedded Elena E. Martinez who has preceded him in death.  To this union there were eight children.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories George Ibarra Jr. (Gina), Azalea C. Paiz preceded him in death (Jesse Paiz Jr.), Laura R. Ibarra, Javier A. Ibarra, Joaquin A. Ibarra preceded him in death, Juan A. Ibarra, Maricella Ibarra (Pedro Moncada III) and Chriscelda Panga.  As well as 23 grandchildren Mark A. Ibarra, Yvette E. Ibarra, Timothy J. Paiz, Leslie M. Alcorta preceded him in death, Sebastiano A. Ibarra, Vanessa  Pena, Joaquin Ibarra Jr., Thomas Ibarra, Ashley A. Garcia, John A. Ibarra, Dennis A Ibarra, Abagail M. Kaiser, Juan N. Ibarra, Ozzy L. Ibarra, Starr D. Ibarra, Jennifer M. Morales, Samantha Morales, Maritza Morales, Claudia Morales, Francisco Morales Jr. Samuel Davis IV, Lance E. Davis, William D. Sonsanya and 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  He gave his life to Christ and became a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in 1964.

Worked for Gillette Air Conditioning until his retirement at the age of 67.  Aside for his first love with Christ George loved his wife and his family.  He enjoyed having family over for all holidays, the biggest for him was Thanksgiving when we would all gather around and everyone spoke of what they were thankful for.  Enjoyed when his grandchildren would stop by and visit with him.
