George Valdillez, Sr. passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026 at the age of 75. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 21, 1950. George devoted his life to servicing our community. He served in the United States Army as military police and kennel master. He was honorably discharged from the Army and then worked for the Bexar County Sherriff's Office for 28 years  as a gang Unit Corporal and SERT Sergeant and Instructor. George hobbies in life included fishing, recreational shooting at the gun range and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him. George is reunited in heaven with  his father Pete Valdillez, mother Esther Valdillez, sisters Helen and Sylvia Valdillez and brother Efran Valdillez. George is deeply loved and will be forever missed by loving wife of 44 years Lynda A. Valdillez, children Patricia Bean (Robbie), Jason Morin (Christina), Jacklyn Head (Marty) and George Valdillez, Jr. (Jessica),siblings Pete Valdillez, Jr, Jesse and Adam Valdillez, grandchildren Devin Rendon, Xavier Ruiz, Jozelyn Morin, Destiny Morin, Jada Morin, Jaylina Morin, Amado Ramirez, Jaydan Pabon, George Valldillez III (Bethany Rivas), Jesse Valdillez and Christopher Valdillez plus numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4 pm to 8pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6 pm that evening. A formal funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 am on Friday, March 6, 2026 with Interment to follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
