Gerardo Colunga passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022 at approximately 2:44 pm. He was 67 years old. He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, on October 26, 1955.

Gerardo was a glazier by trait where he served as Foreman for many years until his retirement in 2020. He never stopped working and looked forward to doing small jobs for friends and family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved buying lottery tickets every week, in hopes of winning and leaving his family set for life. He loved Barbacoa Sundays which he never missed, even though he didn't even like Barbacoa, but he did it to get together with his daughter, son in law and grandchildren. A tradition that will live on in his name. Gerardo never lost his faith in God, even after the tragic loss of his son at 21 years of age and losing his wife 8 short years after.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Maria De La Luz Gomez in 2005; his loving wife, Luz Maria Colunga in 2011 and his son, Gerardo Colunga Jr. in 2003.

Gerardo is loved and will be missed by his daughter, Miriam Colunga (Erik Recio); daughter Elizabeth Bonaiuto (Paul Bonaiuto); grandson, Alberto Flores Jr; granddaughter, Abigail Nicole Flores and grandson Paul Gerardo Bonaiuto. He is also survived by his brother, Fernando Colunga and his sister, Angelica Alfaro.
