Gerardo Nombraña "Chil" went to be with our Lord on November 12, 2021, at the age of 50.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Irma Nombraña and his brother, Guadalupe Nombraña Jr.
Gerardo leaves behind his partner of ten years Angelica Olvera, eight step children, seven step grandchildren, his sibilings; Dora Saenz, Anastacia Nombraña "Ana", and Abelardo Nombraña, his nieces and nephews; Eloisa Barrientes "Mitsy" (Javier), Elisa Saenz "Tootsie" (John), Joseph Nombraña, Rene Nombraña, Geraldlyn Nombraña, Anthony Nombraña, Rosalie Nombraña (Albert), his great niece and nephews; Alyssa, JJ, Araceli, Anani, Karla, Samantha, Ximena, Calliope, Albert Jr., Xavier, Lilly, Domanic, Melisa, Melody, Jose, Jaslyn, Cody, Rebecka, and his great-great nieces and nephews; Damion Jr., Jayci, Jamion, Destiny.
Gerardo was born on September 6, 1971, in San Antonio Texas. In 1991 Gerardo graduated from Thomas A. Edison High school. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Gerardo loved his family and his faith above all. He was a member of the men of Christ prayer group and ACTS. Gerardo enjoyed making memories with his family and friends; he brought immense joy to those around him. We loved his caring ways and Gerardo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Words cannot express the feeling in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at San Fernando II Catholic Cemetery.
