Gerardo "Jerry" Rubio, born October 23, 1964, went to be with our Lord on August 2, 2020, at the age of 55. Jerry was a beloved son, devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. He is reunited in heaven with his mother Josefina A. Rubio and sister Velma R. Medellin. Jerry will live on in the hearts of his wife Diana M. Rubio, sons Marc A. Almodovar (Sarah), Alexander M. Almodovar (Jazmin), Joshua R. Rubio, daughter Danielle D. Rubio, granddaughter Grace A. Almodovar, and grandson Dean P. Almodovar. Father Juan G. Rubio. Siblings Dionicio Rubio (Oralia), Mary R. Foster (Steve), Juan "Joe" Rubio (Alma), Humberto "Burt" Rubio (Olga), Rene Rubio, Sandra Rubio, Hilda R. Palencia (Johnny). Jerry was employed by the City of San Antonio and completed 33 years of service. Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 between 1:00pm and 5:00pm (prayer at 4pm). A celebration of Jerry's life will start at 10am on Wednesday at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. Interment to follow at San Jose Cemetery.
