Gilbert Mendoza passed away at the age of 59 in San Antonio, TX on April 26, 2020. He was born on June 1, 1960 in El Paso, TX.
Gilbert spent decades of his life working in the truck driving industry. Early on as a commercial truck driver, he would often haul cargo throughout the U.S. where he would often include his children and wife to travel along with him. He worked many long and hard hours in order to save up enough money to build a house for his family. Gilbert physically built the house in Chaparral, NM with the assistance of relatives. Later, he relocated with his wife to San Antonio, TX to enjoy time with his grandchildren. Gilbert was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. When he was not working, he would take his 2008 HD Street-Bob for a "ride". Gilbert also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys football games. He treasured the beautiful memories he created with his family. He will be missed tremendously.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his brother, Ruben Mendoza.
Gilbert's beloved wife of 41 years, Leticia Mendoza, passed away on April 27, 2020.
Gilbert is loved and will be missed dearly by his mother, Nina Montez; father, Antonio Mendoza; sister, Patricia Mendoza; sons, Gilbert Jr., Javier and Adrian; his grandchildren, Layla and Alex; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
