Gilbert was born on September 16, 1945, in Alice, Texas to the late Nasaria and Gilbert Rendon. He accomplished so many incredible things in life. Gilbert and his late wife Maria G. Rendon enjoyed a 43-year partnership and adventure together. Gilbert served proudly in the United States Army before retiring. With a strong faith, Gilbert participated in bible studies and religious retreats. Gilbert was a very disciplined, hardworking, and generous man who spent time mentoring children and young adults.
He inspired those around him to be a better person. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds as he was someone who would help anyone in need.
