Obituary

Gilbert V. Rymers was called home peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, surrounded by an immense amount of love from his children, grandchildren, along with other family and friends.
Gilbert served in the United States Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He married his wife Tomasa Y. Rymers January 17th, which would have been 53 years ago this year. He was a family man who dedicated his time raising his children and grandchildren. He worked endless hours to make sure his family was always taken care of and gave them a lifetime of memories. He spent his spare time watching Walker Texas ranger and never missed a night of Monday night RAW (wrestling). He took pride in the family he raised and left such a bold mark on everyone's lives. Although he is gone, we all find comfort that he is now reunited with the love of his life. He will be missed tremendously by all of his family and friends.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents Ben and Felecita Rymers, the love of his life, Tomasa Y. Rymers and his brothers Armando, Ben, Juan and Raymond Rymers.
He is survived by his sister, Rose; children Gilbert, Grace and Gary Rymers; his grandchildren Alexandria, Alexis, Dina, Amber, April, Gilbert III, Gary and Jonah; and 10 great grandchildren. Although he is gone, we will smile from the priceless memories he left behind. He will always and forever be missed.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart at 9:15am from Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 for a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Rymers' Family Cemetery.
